CX2 Open
Available
CX2 Open is the foundation: the software that collects the building's operational data, stores it locally and describes what it means.
It runs on an edge server in the building and does four things. It collects data from the building management system and other technical systems, initially over BACnet/IP. It stores the data in a local time-series database, so the history belongs to the building owner. It describes the building as relations in Brick Schema, so a point like VE01-TT-401 becomes the temperature sensor in zone 1.07, supplied by air handling unit VE01. And it makes the data available through documented interfaces, so dashboards, reports, AI assistants and other tools can build on top.
Open means here: the interfaces are documented, data can be exported, the data model is open, and other tools can build on top. The goal is to release CX2 Open as open source. No date has been set.
CX2 Open costs DKK 0. There is no licence per user, building or data point, and no recurring payment required to keep using it.
It is the software that is free, not the setup. A Brick model of the building has to be built and an integration to the technical systems made before any data comes out. You can do that work yourselves, or buy it as CX2 Service.
Developed and tested on the pilot buildings in the Energy Cluster project. How it works walks through the architecture step by step.
